Doug Evans
Doug Evans is the Release to Rent Veterans Program Coordinator (R2RV), and is one of the Case Managers at CJM. Doug started his journey at CJM in 2013, as a Case Manager. He oversees the men who are a part of the Veterans program. He also communicates with Probation officers to ensure that clients are receiving what is needed to re-enter the community effectively. Moreover, Doug’s role as the R2RV Program Coordinator includes communicating with the liaisons, doing administrative work within the program, keeping track of the program grants’ guidelines, and overseeing other Case Managers.
“To give back to the community I live in. As a man I believe that it is important to help other men in our community. It is my responsibility as a person who had a negative experience with the criminal justice system to help those who went through the same experiences.” Doug explained, when he was asked about why he works for CJM.
